The music hall’s glitz And scarlet marquee, Was a famous gathering Of the town’s bourgeoisie.
There once was a singer Who graced this grand hall, Her beautiful vocals Loved greatly by all.
Her harrowing solos She would sing every night, The angelic Siren Was a sombre delight.
Her voice touched the heart Of all that did hear, To standing ovations And gallons of tears.
